Umatilla-Morrow Head Start maintains a Safety Committee designed to promote staff safety and health in the work place as well as make recommendations for change. The committee is made up of management and non management staff, working together in a non adversarial, cooperative effort.

A safe workplace is a happy workplace, as it creates a more comfortable and conducive environment for employees to effectively do their jobs.
